SNORING

(to: “Singin’ in the Rain”)

I’m snoring while I sleep,

It’s making my wife weep,

This happens every time,

When I’m through with counting sheep.

There’s a gurgle in my throat,

And a blockage in my nose,

Yes, the kids can hear it, too,

‘Cause it’s shaking the whole house.

Hear the rumble in the room,

See lights swaying in the gloom,

No one else can get their rest,

While I sing my noisy tune.

And one time they used the knife,

At the insistence of my wife,

Now through the passage clear,

My roar will still arise.

Vaporizers, mists, and pillows,

We’ve used nasal tapes and pills,

And no matter what my pose,

The rumble . . . still makes it’s . . . own will.
